Tigers are not native to Africa.
Tigers come under the Felidae cat family along with Lions and Leopards.
As per current research studies, a section of felidae species migrated to Asia from Africa around 2 million years ago, which later transformed to different big cats with tigers being one of them. These wild tigers never returned to Africa.
