Happiness need not always be a by-product of something else.

If we have passion for something, and can pursue that passion, then happiness usually will be automatically built into that passion. Finding a passionate occupation is the challenging part.

When we appreciate what we have, while working on our betterment on various fronts, not limited to the material front, we might not need to search for happiness as much.

A satisfied and content mind usually is easy to please, and finds happiness in many things.
