With time, and better observational skills, we can understand and see the subject material better, and even in a new perspective. Now, with better tools at our disposal to filter and extract relevant information, which along with the skill set to utilize appropriate and relevant research methods (both theoretical and experimental), we have the arsenal to question the earlier findings, wherever and whenever necessary (only those with these skill set)
We also need to understand that the renaissance period of STEAM areas happened when money was a by-product of inventions, creativity, and innovations. When money completely takes over, credibility, quality, and merit will be diluted, or will be completely overseen ( as we see right now).
